Considered counsel on matters that require it.

Tatva Law LLP is a law firm based in New Delhi. We advise individuals, businesses and institutions on dispute resolution, arbitration, corporate and commercial questions, and personal law — before courts, tribunals and arbitral forums across India.

The firm

A practice built around clarity.

“Tatva” means essence. The name reflects how the firm works: reduce a matter to what actually decides it, and advise on that. Clients come to us with disputes that have run on too long, contracts that need to hold up, and personal matters that need handling with care.

We act in trial courts, appellate courts, tribunals and arbitrations, and we advise outside the courtroom as well — on contracts, compliance and structuring — so that fewer matters reach a courtroom at all.

See what each practice covers

How we work

Three commitments.

These are the working habits our clients tend to notice first.

You will know where your matter stands

Dates, filings and next steps are communicated as they happen, in plain language, without needing to be chased.

The advice includes the downside

Where a case is weak, a limitation period is close, or settlement is the better commercial answer, we say so at the outset rather than later.

Fees are agreed before work begins

Scope, stage-wise fees and likely out-of-pocket expenses are set out in writing at engagement.
